Planning proposal to create a business centre which will encourage and support new and established small businesses involved in creative industries including designers, artists, makers, craftspeople, digital creators, start-ups etc.
The existing buildings group is to be transformed into a Creative Business Hub by removing those agricultural buildings of poor quality or unsuitable for conversion, convert the good quality traditional buildings and remodel and extend buildings of appropriate quality to support the anticipated new uses. The courtyard space will be widened to allow the Flint Barn elevation to fully address the courtyard.
The courtyard is to be re paved and landscaped to improve the setting of the buildings and to create a sense of arrival. The principle frontages of the buildings will address the courtyard which will become a focal point for the new business community designed to encourage interaction and collaboration.
