John initiated and directed the design of Kings Gate in Horsham for ML Design Group. An important town centre redevelopment on brown-field land, the scheme was the subject of a complex planning process involving local groups and detailed urban analysis. The project includes open market and affordable residential, new office buildings and refurbished listed buildings. The striking form and composition of the scheme has become a new landmark for the town and a noted success as a contemporary design in an historic setting.
