Oxford Road, Horsham

Planning application for twenty new dwellings on the site of a disused school on the edge of the town centre. The design responds to the urban grain and built form of the area by establishing a street frontage rhythm of paired buildings with centred entrances and outer bays. A site specific architectural language has been developed with a strong relationship to the site context in order to create a sense of local distinctiveness. The building forms are clearly derived from the local Victorian houses but with a contemporary interpretation of detailing and architectural features.
